MUSSENDEN Original Artwork
MUSSENDEN is an original mixed media painting and forms part of Frankie's 'Fair Head to Mussenden' Summer Art Exhibition 2026.
Perched high above the Atlantic on the dramatic cliffs at Downhill Demesne, Mussenden Temple is one of the Causeway Coast's most iconic landmarks. Built in 1785 as a library, the circular temple now stands close to the cliff edge, shaped by centuries of coastal erosion.
Looking west along the shoreline, this painting places the Temple within its spectacular coastal setting, where windswept grasses, rugged cliffs and expansive sea views combine to create one of Northern Ireland's most memorable landscapes.
