NOVEMBER'S VISITING ARTIST- YOLANDE SHANNON

-
This November we are very pleased to announce that we have an extremely talented visiting artist showcasing their work in the gallery.
Yolande Shannon is a locally based fibre artist who specialises in working with wool.
-
After sheering, she processes the sheep's fleece by washing, carding, dyeing and spinning. The resulting yarn she uses for her weaves and fibre artworks.
-
-
Her work is influenced by the colours, textures and patterns of the surrounding landscape.
-
Yolande is the resident 'Fibre Art' tutor here at at Frankie Creith Art and facilitates a range of fibre art workshops.

Yolande's work has been exhibited and is available in several venues on the north coast, including The Barn and The Bilberry Mill, Bushmills and the Visitor Centre, Ballycastle.
